Fifth real invention

Of all of the things we use to share a message from heaven – envelopes.  No glory in glue you lick to activate.  No applause when you use ones with the little window.  No pats on the back when you use ones with security tint.  But the message is still shared.  How?

The get-well card is sent

The note of encouragement is dropped in the mailbox.

The envelope is opened and there are several bills – not from the utility company, but the kind that come from a bank – and they came just in time.

The envelope contains the tickets, the pictures, the bracelet, the key, the list, the reminder, the answer, the number . . . .

And they can all come in an envelope.

The envelope reminds us someone remembered, someone listened, someone understood, someone cared, someone prayed.  They remind us God even works with office supplies.  How has God used an envelope in your life?  Did you give one?  Did you receive one?
